Brioche is a knitting technique that produces a thick cushy fabric. It can be worked in a single colour as a textured pattern but it can also be worked in two colours to create interesting reversible fabrics.
This one day workshop will look at how to knit two colour Brioche in the round and work increases and decreases to produce a leaf shape pattern. You will be provided with two patterns on the day, the Leaf Cowl pattern and the Checkerboard Cowl pattern.
You will need;
• Two colours of a chunky yarn. It helps to choose a light colour and a dark colour. You can also use a solid colour yarn with a long colour change yarn e.g. Rico Alpaca blend chunky with Melange.
• 5.5mm or 6mm x 60cm circular needle (or size needles you would usually use for a chunky weight yarn)
• Stitch markers to mark the beginning/end of round and also each pattern repeat
