Bio:
Jessie and Eugene are the visionary founders of AcroYoga Montreal, whose journey spans back to 1982. Originally professional dancers until 2004, they transitioned into the role of founders and co-owners of Ashtanga Yoga Montreal from 2004 to 2016. However, it was in 1998 that they made a profound mark on the yoga world by coining the term “AcroYoga,” reflecting their innovative fusion of dance, acrobatics, and yoga.
This senior married couple connects the dots between mind, body, breath and relationships. It is the sharing of self that touches the student’s heart and fosters understanding and a desire for growth within both student and teacher. Knowing our place in the world only happens when we know our world. At AcroYoga Montreal, there is no separation of AcroYoga, yoga, and reality. To live apart from this world is not the goal but to transform ourselves and our societies rooted in a deep understanding of the social, political and economic systems & institutions we engage with on a daily basis.
