Tomatoes are the foundation of every summer pantry — and this month, we’re preserving them together.
Whether you’re new to canning or just want company while you work, our group canning events are designed to make food preservation fun, social, and stress-free. You’ll get hands-on guidance, time to connect with others, and jars of tomatoes ready to use all year long — without having to hover over a hot canner all day.
How It Works:
Bring your own clean jars, lids, and rings
Use your own tomatoes or buy into our group bulk order (we’ll have your produce ready and waiting!)
Come anytime during event hours and work at your own pace
We will walk you through prepping and packing
We run the canners for you — just pick up your cooled, sealed jars on Monday at the farm!
Pre-Canning Intensive (Optional):
Join us at 9:00 AM for an hour-long class before the event. We’ll cover:
Canning safety and tested tomato recipes
Tips for avoiding common mistakes
Creative ways to use home-canned tomatoes (like restaurant-style Mexican rice!)
Perfect For:
✅ Beginners looking for hands-on guidance
✅ Experienced canners who want to preserve in community
✅ Anyone who finds canning alone... kinda boring
What to Bring:
Clean pint or quart jars (wide or regular mouth)
New lids and rings
Washed, blemish-free tomatoes (unless using our group order)
Your favorite kitchen tools, apron, and water bottle
Optional: A potluck-style snack to share
Friendly Reminders:
✔️ Clean jars help us avoid backup at the wash sinks
✔️ Kids are welcome — but this is a working farm, so children must be supervised at all times
