Drone Racing 101 Camp at Community School (Ages 8 - 12)

[Drone Racing 101 Camp] - Become a drone pilot in this awesome program! Learn how to fly a DWI Quad Rotor Drone, design creative courses to race each other through, learn about the many uses of drones, practice working together to accomplish flight-based tasks and more! This camp is half drone racing and half active, movement-based games.

Outline:
Session 1 - Learning The Basics
Session 2 - Control Training
Session 3 - Let's Get Tricky
Session 4 - All about Speed
Session 5 - Building A Race Course

Why we created it:
This program was designed to introduce elementary age kids to the wonderful world of drones. By discussing the application of UAVs within the modern world we hope to inspire participants to explore new careers focused on using similar technology and help them develop fun new hobbies.

Minimum number of kids per session: 5

Max number of kids per session: 14
