Immerse yourself in the timeless power of love with a moving evening of music inspired by passion, longing, and devotion. The evening begins with Wagner’s Prelude and Liebestod from Tristan and Isolde, a sweeping masterpiece that captures the transcendental power of love beyond boundaries. Anna Clyne’s Within Her Arms offers a poignant reflection on unconditional love. This contemporary work for strings, dedicated to the composer’s late mother, evokes tender intimacy and profound emotional depth. The program concludes with Tchaikovsky’s Romeo and Juliet, a passionate symphonic retelling of Shakespeare’s legendary tale of star-crossed lovers, capturing love in all its forms from youthful excitement to heartrending tragedy.
