This is the 6th year of the annual Millard West Mountain Bike team's hosting of the Tranquility 50. This initially began as a chance for the riders on our team to gauge their training for events like the Dakota 50, and we had so much fun, we figured we'd just open it up to everyone!
The Millard West MTB Team will be out at Tranquility Park Saturday, June 28th starting at 9AM. Come join us and ride as many miles as you can! We'll have an aid station with water, snacks, and loud 80s rock to keep ya going! We will roll out from the gravel road by the neighborhood, straight into the south side. Come out and join us for 50 miles, or as many as you can do! Students and adults alike!
This is not a race or event that you need to register for, pay for, or follow a strict route. It is a community gathering and ride. Just run your Strava, tackle the 50 on any Tranquility segments you see fit, and claim your custom brick at the finish! You don't even have to hit 50, any benchmark of 10s is an accomplishment, and your brick will reflect that.
As we did last year, we have an exciting new addition to the challenge! In addition to the standard sized Tranq 50 bricks, we're going to offer Tranq Jr bricks, for junior sized accomplishments! Your smaller sized shredders can tackle the trail and claim a brick for any mileage 1-9! This is an awesome option for any kid who has recently finished up their first year of DEVO, and is ready for the next challenge!
This event is also one of the few fundraisers that we do for the team each year. Our sport does not receive any school funding, and the goal is to support our student riders. Freewill donations to the team are appreciated, but not necessary. We just want to see lots of people out on bikes!
