Taking Care of Earth with Neil Kolwey

Many of us feel a deep connection to nature, or to “this planet earth” as Jane Goodall referred to it. And sometimes we forget this connection as we go about our busy lives, perhaps paying more attention to our hand-held devices than to the world around us. In this talk and discussion, Neil Kolwey will guide some brief reflections on our connection with the natural world, and he will give a brief overview of some of the challenges we face (without being depressing). And drawing from recent books by Joanna Macy and Jane Goodall, we will discuss how we can feel a sense of wholeness and hope, while we contribute towards a healthier planet in ways both large and small.

Neil has worked in the environmental protection, sustainability, and clean energy fields for over 40 years, and he has been a buddhist since 1979, and a Nalandabodhi member since 2003.
