Regenerative Leadership for Social Change

Led by Don Hall, author of , in collaboration with Climatique and the Joanna Macy Center for Resilience and Regeneration at Naropa University, this transformational workshop will explore seven essential ingredients for effective community organizing, offering valuable perspectives, insights, tools, practices, and resources for aspiring and experienced changemakers alike.

Topics include:

• Our Global Context: Understanding the interconnectedness of the biggest challenges humanity is currently facing, discussing the issues most deeply impacting us now, and summoning our courage and compassion to challenge systems of oppression.
• The Power of Vision: Appreciating the power of vision to catalyze change, surveying a wide range of future scenarios, and envisioning for ourselves what a Just Transition might be.
• Inner Transition: Connecting the dots between who we are as leaders and the change we’re able to create in the world, practicing inner resilience, and cultivating an ongoing sense of balance in our lives as an antidote to burnout.
• Healthy Groups: Forming a diverse group that functions like a natural ecosystem, building a culture of belonging and restorative practice, and navigating The Stages of Group Development.
• Community Engagement: Attracting a strong base of support, centering diverse perspectives, and building a movement big enough to matter.
• Practical Projects: Designing a great first project, scaling up your impact, and pursuing systems-changing strategies.
• Part of a Movement: Asking your toughest questions, receiving resources for going forth, and creating your own personal action plan.

As part of this training, participants will also have the opportunity to cultivate relationships with values-aligned community members, learn from their experiences, and stay in touch afterwards. A free online introductory session is being offered on Tuesday, September 9th for those interested in learning more about this workshop before registering.
