Chris Ruiz is a singer/songwriter based out of Boulder, CO. He is the frontman and rhythm guitarist of Alt-Indie/Neo-Funk band, Natural Motives.

Inspired by the human experience, connection, and the desire to create - his music caters to fans of soul driven, jazzy folk storytelling with raw, unapologetic truths. Some of his inspirations and influences are Jose Gonzales, Shakey Graves, Jack Johnson, and Paul McCartney.


His debut solo acoustic album, 'Heavy Eyes' released on April 7th, 2024 on all streaming platforms and he has successfully completed his first solo acoustic European Tour in May of 2024; performing his originals in London, Paris, Brussels, Manchester and Dublin.

He is currently playing locally around the Front Range of Colorado while he records a new EP with Natural Motives.
