Boulder Fire Station #3: Sustainability, Equity, and Resiliency

The new Boulder Fire Station #3 is an all-electric, 100-year facility, designed to meet the City of Boulder’s Energy Conservation Goals (CoBECC). Its design serves as a beacon of safety, supported by columns created from reclaimed steel from the decommissioned Boulder Community Hospital, lowering the facility’s embodied carbon. The 22,000-sf station is augmented with 6,000 sf of administration space and a community room designed for use by the public without compromising security and privacy of operations spaces.

Date: Thursday, August 21, 2025

Time: The tour starts promptly at 4 PM to minimize any disruption to Fire Rescue personnel operations/routines and ends at 5 PM.

Capacity: 15 people

Parking: Closest street parking is opposite the Station along 3014 Bluff Street.
