A Long Time Coming

Cobalt presents an ambitious timeline tracing the herstory of women’s fight for bodily autonomy - from the brutal exploitation of enslaved Black women and girls to modern-day advocacy. Spanning more than 400 years, this powerful exhibit consists of thirty 3' x 2' panels that center the historical experiences of Black and other women of color, highlighting key legal battles, grassroots movements, and pivotal moments that have shaped reproductive health, rights, and access in America.
