Would you like to deepen your knowledge of yoga? Join True North Yoga teachers Carolyn Sauer and Naomi Jones for the first meeting of the True North Yoga Book Club.
Our first read is the Bhagavad Gita. The Bhagavad Gita, often referred to simply as the Gita, is one of the most important and revered texts in Indian philosophy and spiritual literature. It is a 700-verse scripture that forms part of the Mahabharata, an ancient Indian epic.
Feel free to read any version of the Gita prior to the book club. Sign up online for this free offering at True North Yoga here:

The Gita is divided into 18 chapters, which can be broadly categorized into three main sections:
Karma Yoga (Path of Action):
Teaches the importance of selfless action performed without attachment to outcomes.
Bhakti Yoga (Path of Devotion):
Emphasizes devotion to God as a means to liberation.
Jnana Yoga (Path of Knowledge):
Focuses on spiritual wisdom and self-realization as the path to understanding the ultimate reality.
The Bhagavad Gita is more than just a scripture; it is a guide to living a meaningful life. Its teachings continue to inspire millions around the world, offering insights into spirituality, ethics, and self-discovery.
