Kick off the holiday with a community 5K, benefiting the Mayor's "Stay Safe, Bluffton!" campaign and student scholarships that promote safe driving. Make plans to run, jog, or walk at Oyster Factory Park on Wednesday, July 2, at 7 PM.
All ages and skill levels are welcome.
The first 400 runners will receive a Bluffton Independence Day 5K race shirt.
AWARDS:
The Mayor's Cup will be awarded to the overall male and female winners. Custom medals will be awarded to the overall male and female winners and the top 3 division winners.
12U, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+ Top 3 Dogs.
• Winners receive the "Mayor's Cup," with names engraved and displayed at Town Hall.

Note: No race-day registration or registration during packet pickup.
Independence 5k After Party!
• Deas-Guyz will perform a free concert from 6:30–8:30 PM.
• Food, beer, and wine are available for purchase.
Parking/Shuttle: Attendees must park at M.C. Riley Elementary School (200 Burnt Church Road) and use the free Palmetto Breeze shuttle (5:30–9:30 PM) to Oyster Factory Park. Paid parking is available at:
• First Zion Missionary Baptist Church (10 Robertson St.)
• Campbell Chapel AME Church (25 Boundary St.) Funds support church programs.
