PUBLIC NOTICE – COMMUNITY INPUT INVITED
Hosted by Busted ATV Resort Inc.
Busted ATV Resort Inc. is preparing an application for the 2025 Abandoned Mine Land Economic Revitalization (AMLER) program to support the development of a new project at the historic Caswell Creek Mine. The plan includes a community bakery to help local entrepreneurs by offering free access to equipment and business education, along with a space for food trucks, camping, and group lodging. The goal is to create jobs, support local services, and bring new energy to a former mining site.
To ensure the community is informed and involved, we invite all local residents, business owners, and stakeholders to attend a public town hall meeting on Thursday, July 3rd, 2025, at 11 AM, held at Bluefield WV Economic Development Authority Located at 500 Bland St. Third Floor. This meeting will present project details on how residents and business owners in the area can utilize the property for entrepreneurial benefits. We also look forward to your involvement in providing feedback, and answering any questions about the proposed development.
The project site is located at 199 Caswell Creek Road, Bramwell, WV 24715, the former location of the Caswell Creek Mine. A project area map will be available at the meeting for review.
The initiative has been developed with early input from regional partners, including private investors, tourism groups, local officials, and small business owners. The town hall is part of a continuing process of open consultation and community collaboration.
We welcome your input as we work to reclaim and repurpose this historic site into a distinctive community-serving destination.
