Flag Day Ceremony

American Legion Post 50 will conduct its annual Flag Day Ceremony at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 14, at Memorial Park, 12800 Highland Ave., Blue Island.

If you have a worn, torn, dirty or tattered American flag that needs to be properly retired, either bring it to the ceremony or drop it off at the park field house or either of Blue Island's two fire houses.

The ceremony is open to the public, and parents are urged to bring their children so they can begin to learn proper etiquette regarding our flag.
