🖼️🔍 October's First Friday celebration will feature an Art Scavenger Hunt sponsored by Downtown Bloomington artists' studios and galleries.

🗓️ On First Friday, October 3 from 5 to 7 p.m. school children attending First Friday will be given a scavenger hunt list with answers to be found in participating Downtown art studios and galleries. Start at any of the participating galleries and end at Main Gallery 404, Inc. by 7 p.m. to be eligible for the grand prize drawing.

🖼️📝 Children must match the type of art found with the gallery in which it was found. The Scavenger Hunt is appropriate for children 4 years through Junior High and there is no charge to participate.

🛍️🎨 Grab bags of art supplies (while supplies last) will be given to those who turn in a completed form at Main Gallery 404, Inc. by 7 p.m. A drawing for several grand prizes scheduled at 7 p.m. (must be present to win).

🎉 Grand prizes include paint and drawing sets, easels, and other supplies. A special grand prize is a skateboard deck donated by Crib to Crib and hand-painted by local artist Karen Schulthes. 🛹🖼️

♥️ Downtown artists hope to nurture a new generation of artists as well as developing an appreciation for art by introducing children to living artists and their work in the environment of a studio or gallery. Additionally the artists feel it is important that children feel welcomed into the art scene and see it as a place where they belong. Downtown has 12 art galleries all within walking distance representing over 100 individual artists.
