Kirtan Kriya with LaMor: Seated Meditation Technique for Alzheimer’s Prevention, Brain Health, and Stress Reduction
June is Alzheimer’s and Brain Awareness Month. Join LaMor, Certified Yoga Therapist (C-IAYT) and Meditation Facilitator, for a Kirtan Kriya workshop. Kirtan Kriya is a centuries-old meditation technique that has been studied by the Alzheimer’s Research and Prevention Foundation for its application in the area of brain health, stress management, and prevention of Alzheimer’s Disease.
Attendees will: Learn the science behind the Kirtan Kriya, Practice the 12-minute seated technique, Participate in Question & Answer, Receive handouts for home practice.
Alzheimer’s Research and Prevention Foundation finds that the Kirtan Kriya, done 12 minutes daily:
Increases blood flow to brain areas that control memory Improves neurotransmitter function
Activates areas of the brain controlling planning, reasoning, problem-solving, focus, and concentration
