Join us this summer for Heart & Hand Sundays! These once-a-month service projects bring together our whole church family in service, creativity, and fellowship. Each event will feature “work of the heart” collecting items for ministries outside our church and “work of the hand” to create a collaborative Highlands Renewal Quilt. This month, we will be collecting diapers (any size or brand) for East Lake UMC's Co-op Ministries. Heart & Hand Sundays are designed for all ages and skill levels, so everyone is welcome and invited! These are excellent opportunities to get to know the Highlands family better, and to invite friends and neighbors to see what Highlands is all about.
June 1 - Diaper Drive for East Lake UMC Co-Op Ministries
July 13 - Gently Used Children’s Books for Little Free Libraries
August 24 - Food and Supplies for Backpack Mininstries

Highlands United Methodist Church is located at 1045 20th Street South (35205) immediately behind the landmark fountain in the heart of Five Points South, Birmingham. Free parking for Sunday services is available at metered space on the street and in the Five Points South Deck on Magnolia Avenue. A parking lot for first-time visitors and those with limited mobility is located directly behind the church, off Richard Arrington Boulevard.
