We are having auditions for the first show of our 2025/2026 season! BECKY NURSE OF SALEM will rehearse in and runs October 24, 2025-November 9, 2025. Directed by Sara James, all roles are available with the exception of Bob and The Witch, to be played by Kyle Holman and Debbie Smith, respectively. Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script. Please be prepared to arrive early and stay for an hour or two, as you may be asked to read with other actors. Available roles are as follows:
Becky Nurse
Mid-50s to 60s
Description: A descendant of Rebecca Nurse (a real woman hanged during the Salem witch trials), Becky is brash, outspoken, working-class, and fiercely protective of her family.
Gail
17-early 20s
Becky’s granddaughter
Description: Smart, sensitive, and navigating her own trauma. She seeks independence but is also deeply affected by the generational wounds in her family.
Officer / Magistrate
Age: Variable
Description: These characters form the oppressive structures Becky must face and overcome.
Stan
Age: 17-early 20s
Gail’s situationship
Description: Stan and Gail met in treatment and he is too old and too emo for Becky’s taste. He is ultimately a good kid.
Shelby
Age: 30s to 40s, female
Becky’s supervisor at the museum. Highly educated and a little snobby, but has good intentions.
