Strumbucket is a five-piece “twang-funk” band from Jackson, Wyoming, known for delivering genre-blending sets that are as musically tight as they are lighthearted. Their sound fuses funky bass lines, banjo-driven twang, Latin-inspired rhythms, psychedelic synths, and rock-and-roll attitude into something entirely their own. With playful stage energy and an ear for both dance grooves and deep cuts, Strumbucket brings a party wherever they land.
Formed in 2018, the band has built momentum far beyond the Jackson scene, playing bars, concert series, and festivals alongside acts like JoJo Herman, Polyrhythmics, and The Ghost of Paul Revere. Their 2024 full-length album Chest Vessel Beats and the forthcoming EP Friends Like You showcase their knack for writing songs that groove hard and don’t take themselves too seriously. With influences ranging from The Meters and Little Feat to a not-so-secret love of Ween, Strumbucket lives to surprise and move the crowd.
