Learn pencil drawing techniques to create a portrait from a photographic reference!
Who hasn’t come across a drawing manual full of theories on how to draw a nose, or techniques for sketching eyes and ovals starting from triangles and crossed lines? 🥸
If those rigid schemes have only left you confused and haven’t led to satisfying results... this workshop is for YOU! ✨
Here, we set aside prepackaged theories and return to the essence: the ability to truly observe a face, and the practical tools to translate it effectively into a portrait.
I will guide you step by step into portrait drawing from photo reference.
We’ll explore how to use pencils of different softness, how to angle your hand for shading, how to trace proportions accurately with the grid technique. I’ll share tricks and insights that make the process smoother and help bring your portrait to life.
The workshop takes place at Kunstraum Heartspace: a warm, inspiring space filled with creativity and connection.
