Stage Lights & City Nights: An Evening with Yamil Borges & MTS

Puerto Rico-born and New York-raised artist Yamil Borges is an acclaimed actress and singer. She gained international recognition for her portrayal of Diana Morales in the musical film A Chorus Line alongside Michael Douglas.

Yamil has captivated audiences in leading roles across Europe, including the German-language premiere of the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical Kiss of the Spider Woman in Vienna, and as Velma Kelly in Chicago at Berlin’s Theater des Westens. In 2003, she played Maria in Hebbel Theater’s Maria de Buenos Aires, and in 2008 portrayed Édith Piaf in Süchtig nach Liebe at La Coupe Théâtre, Berlin. For years, she has also enriched the Berlin jazz scene with expressive interpretations of jazz standards and her own sensitive original compositions.

Now, in a special collaboration with the Musical Theater Society Berlin, Yamil, accompanied by Lionel Haas, joins forces for a lively evening of jazz and beloved classics from the Golden Age of musical theater—an unforgettable celebration of song, story, and stage.
