[EN] Meet a new quartet led by the young saxophonist Florian Pasche, who, at just 16, is an exceptional talent on the Berlin scene. The quartet has only rehearsed and recorded a few times so far and will celebrate its premiere in 2026. The first rehearsals took place in autumn 2024. Musically, the music can clearly be classified as free jazz. A congenial rhythm section accompanies long phrases from the two saxophonists. The interplay is very special, as is the instrumentation with two alto saxophones.

[DE] Es ist ein neues Quartett um den jungen Saxophonisten Florian Pasche, der mit seinen gerade mal 16 Jahren ein Ausnahmetalent der Berliner Szene ist. Das Quartett hat bisher nur mehrfach geprobt und aufgenommen und wird seine Premiere 2026 feiern. Erste Proben fanden im Herbst 2024 statt. Musikalisch lässt sich die Musik eindeutig als Free Jazz einordnen. Lange Bögen der beiden Saxophonisten werden von einer kongenialen Rhythmusgruppe begleitet. Das Interplay ist sehr speziell, die Instrumentierung mit zwei Altsaxophonen ebenso.
