Von Indien nach Italien, über Anatolien und den Nahen Osten hinweg entfaltet Namrithas Musik – und ihr aktuelles Album Traces and Roots – die Geschichte ihrer vielen Wurzeln.
Erzählungen von Diaspora, kultureller Durchmischung und der Suche nach Identität verweben sich in Namrithas eigenen Liedern – geschrieben auf Spanisch, Französisch, Venezianisch, Griechisch und Arabisch – mit den Klängen sephardischer und griechisch-anatolischer Traditionen.
Begleitet von Valentina Bellanova an der Ney, von Alvise Seggi am Cello und Shingo Ali Masuda auf dem Kanun, entsteht eine Musik des Dialogs zwischen den Kulturen – eine Klangreise, in der jedes Lied zu einer eigenen Welt wird, zu einem zarten Gleichklang zwischen Ost und West.

"From India to Italy, across Anatolia and the Middle East, Namritha’s music — and her latest album Traces and Roots — tells the story of her multiple roots.
Stories of diaspora, cultural blending, and the search for identity unfold through Namritha’s original songs — composed in Spanish, French, Venetian dialect, Greek, and Arabic — interwoven with traditional Sephardic and Greek Anatolian melodies.
Accompanied by the melodic storytelling of Valentina Bellanova on ney, Alvise Seggi on cello and Shingo Ali Masuda on kanun, the music creates a dialogue across cultures, where each song becomes a world within a world — a journey between East and West.
