Brazilian Marcela Lucatelli transforms the jazz landscape with her groundbreaking vocal experiments and vibrant avant-garde jazz. In her new trio, she is joined by German saxophonist and electronic artist Jonas Engel and Swiss drummer Dominik Mahnig. Their debut at the Copenhagen Jazz Festival, held at The Royal Danish Playhouse, led to the release of a remarkable live album that captures moments of call and response with the local Danish audience and more. Lucatelli, a Brazilian vocal icon, joins forces with these two prominent, award-winning European jazz musicians to shatter musical boundaries and sharpen the senses. The audience can expect an elegant yet raw tapestry of sound, where jazz, experimental music, and free improvisation are seamlessly woven together for a captivating and transformative experience. Throughout, Lucatelli pushes the limits of her vocal abilities, blending smooth harmonies, ominous breaths, and twisted melodies.
