Open Call: Lilith Unveiled – a Cantata (2nd Edition)
Join a growing feminist vocal collective & reclaim public space through sound
Lilith Unveiled: a Cantata enters its second year and invites FLINTA* individuals and Queer People to join a new cycle of experiential singing workshops in Berlin.
Together, we explore the voice as a political, artistic, and collective instrument — a vessel for memory, resistance, and solidarity. Through polyphonic singing, shared rhythm and resonance, we work with personal and collective experiences while engaging with urgent social and feminist questions.
At the heart of the project lies a collective performative practice. This year’s workshops will again lead toward public-space interventions on and around March 8th, the International Feminist Day of Struggle — as acts of remembrance for victims of femicides* and as a collective stand against patriarchal violence.
The performative framework is centred around the ritual created by Chilean choreographer @claudia_bell_rifo which we develop further together: a polyphonic cantata staging a symbolic “Bridal Exodus” — carried by voices, bodies, and collective presence in the urban soundscape.
No prior singing or musical experience is required.
What matters is your curiosity, your willingness to listen and sound together, and your interest in and commitment to an inclusive collective process.
Who can participate:
FLINTA* individuals and Queer people from diverse backgrounds.
Multilingual, migrant, and first-time singers are warmly welcome.
