Kiiōtō – As Dust We Rise

Kiiōtō is the deeply intuitive collaboration between Lou Rhodes, Mercury Prize-nominated singer/songwriter of Lamb, and multi-platinum keyboardist and writer Rohan Heath. Their debut album As Dust We Rise weaves jazz-tinted harmonies, poetic storytelling, and organic textures into a sound that feels both timeless and deeply personal.

What began as a spontaneous musical spark during lockdown grew into a profound creative partnership. Written between London, Wiltshire and New Orleans, the album explores themes of grief, memory, transformation, and quiet resilience. From the haunting beauty of “Spanish Moss” to the cinematic swell of “Here Comes the Flood,” Kiiōtō invites listeners into an emotional landscape shaped by loss, love, and renewal.

Free from genre boundaries and industry expectations, As Dust We Rise is music born of instinct, honesty, and a shared desire to create something true. These are the songs they never planned to write — and always needed to.
