The world is sinking into the rubble and ashes of wars that people wage against each other in the name of power and money. Fascism, religious fundamentalism, autocracies everywhere. People and animals are falling ill with dangerous viruses. The earth is running out of resources, with consequences ranging from water shortages to flooding. AI-controlled robots are advertised on the neon-lit billboards of mega-corporations.
Wait … Is this a dystopia of our future or already reality? And are there (really) no alternatives? What are our utopias and what are the paths to them?
In this drag show, the FreaKings take you on a journey of thought between dark (and perhaps kinky) worlds and the most beautiful realistic to fantastical scenarios that our freaKy minds can make up.
Accessibility info
The show will be mostly in English, with some performances in German or other languages (there will be an online pad with translations). We do not have sign language translation. We do not use strobe lights. The AHA is accessible via a ramp but does not have an wheelchair-accessible toilet. The venue is smoke-free and has an air filter. Please test yourself for Covid on the same day. Please stay home if you have symptoms. Also stay home if you have symptoms and a test negative. Please wear a mask if possible or bring an FFP2 mask. For some people it is important that you wear a mask. We will have some masks and tests available at the entrance for donation.
