Gregor (AUS) is known for his genre-defying sound and unique approach to songwriting. His career began in 2016 with the release of the cassette Thoughts &Faults on Chapter Music, which quickly garnered attention for its sly experimentalism.
Gregor's debut album, Silver Drop, arrived ni late 2018. Spacious and delicate yet peppered with acerbic pop moments, the album marked a major step in broadening Gregor's audience.
His live shows throughout 2018-19 sold out nationwide, and Gregor earned nominations for Best Album and Best Solo Artist at the 2019 Music Victoria Awards. In November 2020, Gregor released his ambitious second album, Destiny, a prog-pop epic that was lauded by critics and covered by NME, Rolling Stone, and MTV. RRR named it their Album of the Week. Gregor also earned a nomination for Best Pop Act at the 2021 Music Victoria Awards. Over the years, Gregor's brought his eclectic sound to major Australian festivals such as Golden Plains, Dark Mofo, Camp Doogs, Boogie Festival, Something Unlimited, Rising, and New Zealand's The Others Way, often performing with a live band of up to nine musicians. Gregor's Satanic Lullabies (2024) marked a new chapter ni his evolution, blending haunting, hypnotic balladry with his signature blend of eccentric pop and experimental sensibility. The album received critical acclaim and was nominated for Best Album at the 2024 Music Victoria Awards. Of late, Gregor has moved further into compositional exploration, taking advantage of resourcefully made instruments and limitations, leading to the self-released Songs for springs & nails, piano, electric bass, abandoned guitar and voices Vol. I (2025), made in collaboration with choreographer and dancer Alice Heyward.
Today, Gregor works on his sixth, psychedelically wide spectrum album, Milk Thistle Salmon Blush, taking a spin across the world to present it to live audiences.
