Join us for a free introduction and information gathering circle for a future class series on Sound Breathing for Women—no commitment necessary now. We are hoping you can collaborate with us in shaping the classes.
The class series itself will begin after the first of next year. Details to be determined.
Didgeridoo is more than just a musical instrument—
it is a way of being present with
the breath of the world.
No experience necessary—all levels are welcome. Learner didgeridoos will be provided for those who do not have an instrument. If you simply want to work on breath without the didgeridoo, that is also fine.
After teaching didgeridoo primarily to women, Elise has found that many women have difficulty feeling a solid connection with our diaphragms and therefore with our power. This class will address:
● Strengthening and deepening our in-breath to alleviate the habitual over-stressing of our upper respiratory systems which can cause asthma, sleep apnea, & COPD to name a few
● Slowing down our breathing, slows down our minds, calming the anxiety of these times and making us more effective in our actions.
● Breathing fully into our diaphragms, we experience a profound sense of openness that is beyond language, beyond cognition, beyond ego.
● Exploring our ground with the earth, we connect to the vital energy of embodiment and personal power.
● Playing or listening to the didgeridoo helps us relax and become more in sync with our body wisdom, with each other, and with the more-than-human world.
Our Voices are Needed: In the face of compounding threats, women are reshaping leadership into new, more collaborative forms to address land defense and reforestation, community resilience, governance, and transition efforts. As we continue to step forward for justice, beauty, and common decency, women need to speak out in clear voices.
