Charles Lee Tilden Regional Park
Loop Road Parking, Berkeley, United States
For the SFNOMA members that love to go on hikes, we are setting up a hike for you! All SFNOMA members and any other friends and/or family members are welcome to join. Please share the information with anyone you know within the AEC industry as well.
This will be a moderate but exerting hike in the Berkeley Hills!!! We will be hiking at one of the District's three oldest parks. Tilden has been called the jewel of the system, and its recreational activities have become a happy tradition for generations of East Bay youngsters. From a carousel ride and a picnic to a swim at Lake Anza and a stroll through the Botanic Garden, Tilden has variety to delight everyone. Yet there are plenty of quiet places in Tilden's 2,079 acres to shelter the wildlife and preserve natural beauty. Tilden was named after Charles Lee Tilden, first president of the Park District Board of Directors. Charles Lee Tilden ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles_Lee_Tilden), a Bay Area attorney and businessman who purchased much of the land in order to preserve remaining wilderness areas for public enjoyment. This is a family friendly and social hike. All are welcome.
