Velkommen til årets utgave av Play Musikk Øyro, etter en gang i vakre Galleri Solbakkestova, det kunstneriske hjertet i Bjørnafjorden kommune!
Omringet av kunstverk av Arne Mæland og Vidar Bratlund-Mæland, bringer trioen Soft Noise Ensemble og soloist Owen Weaver samtidsmusikk i ulike former til nye og gamle kjenninger.

Soft Noise Ensemble (S.N.E.) er en norsk-basert eksperimentell trio som opererer et sted i skjæringspunktet mellom jazz, fri-improv og (soft) støy, bestående av artister og musikere Eline Rafteseth, Omar Johnsen og Luke Drozd. Med bakgrunn innen pop, jazz og eksperimentell musikk bruker trioen hverdagslyder og tilfeldige opptak, og transformerer dem til flerlags, oppslukende lydlandskap.
Varighet: ca 40 minutter
Owen Weaver er Bergens potet innen musikkscenen. Enten om det er å spille på klinkekuler og sofaputer, i pingvindress med Bergen Filharmoniske Orkester, eller 'thrashe' på trommesett har han en musikal bredde som rommer det meste. Verket han fremfører er 'Same Face!' av Florent Ghys, som ble komponert for Owen i 2016. Stykket inneholder et kaleidoskop av rytmer for trommesett, klokkespill og elektronikk, med en film som gjenspeiler tittelens inspirasjon: en kommentar fra en ansatt på en
bensinstasjon i New Jersey om at Florent og Owen hadde «Same Face!», og også ...kyr i fjellandskap.

Konserten vil bli gjennomført på en uformelt måte, hvor publikum skal føle seg trygge og har rom til å mene det en mener, og frihet til å gjøre det en har behov for. Her er det ingen regler for når en skal klappe, le eller reise seg, vi ønsker bare god stemning :)

Welcome to this year's edition of Play Musikk Øyro, once again in the beautiful Galleri Solbakkestova, the artistic heart of Bjørnafjorden municipality!
Surrounded by artwork by Arne Mæland and Vidar Bratlund-Mæland, the trio Soft Noise Ensemble and soloist Owen Weaver bring contemporary music in different forms to old and new friends.
All are welcome and can choose between three ticket options: pay-what-you-can, ordinary 150kr, and full price 250kr.
Soft Noise Ensemble (S.N.E.) is a Norwegian-based experimental trio operating somewhere at the intersection of jazz, free improv and (soft) noise, consisting of artists and musicians Eline Rafteseth, Omar Johnsen and Luke Drozd. With a background in pop, jazz and experimental music, the trio uses everyday sounds and random recordings, transforming them into multi-layered, immersive soundscapes.
Duration: approx. 40 minutes
Owen Weaver is one of Bergen's most versatile musicians. From playing with marbles and sofa cushions, to donning a penguin suit with the Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra, to thrashing on a drum kit, he has a musical breadth that accommodates most things. The work he performs is 'Same Face!' by Florent Ghys, which was composed for Owen in 2016. The piece contains a kaleidoscope of rhythms for drum kit, glockenspiel and electronics, with a film that reflects the title's inspiration: a comment from a gas station employee in New Jersey that Florent and Owen had the "Same Face!", and also ...cows in the mountains.

Welcome to a relaxed and inclusive concert, followed by socializing and a dance floor for the willing!
The concert will proceed informally, with the audience free speak their mind and do what they need to. There are no rules here for when to clap, laugh or stand up, only the best of vibes :)
