Piazzolla’s The Four Seasons of Buenos Aires reimagines Vivaldi’s baroque masterpiece through the lens of tango nuevo, capturing the sultry passion and urban energy of Buenos Aires. Trio for Violin, Saxophone, and Piano No. 1 by Russell Peterson is a dynamic and expressive work that brings together the distinct voices of these instruments, blending elements of classical, jazz, and contemporary styles. Paul Schoenfield’s Café Music is a lively, genre-blurring trio that channels the spirit of 1920s and ‘30s café culture, where jazz, ragtime, and classical traditions collide in a dazzling display of virtuosity and charm.

About Ensemble Eon:
Ensemble Eon is a young and dynamic chamber music ensemble from Bergen, consisting of violin, saxophone, and piano—a distinctive combination that gives the music a unique and vibrant character. Their performances are characterised by energetic and playful interaction, exciting soundscapes, and a genre-defying musical expression.
With a clear vision of challenging the traditional format of classical chamber concerts, Ensemble Eon has, in recent years, undertaken extensive tours across Western Norway and the rest of the country. They collaborate with some of Norway’s foremost music arrangers and composers and have had the privilege of performing at prestigious events, such as Bergen International Festival.
