Mike Struwin brings "Wires To Weeds" to The Livery stage for another hometown show on Sat, May 17th!
7:30pm doors / 8:30pm show - $10
West Michigan musical mainstay Mike Struwin has spent the last two decades regularly performing around the region. The singer-songwriter has performed his unique fusion of soul, reggae and Americana in area venues for nearly two decades, fronting several bands in the process.
On May 17th at the Livery, “Wires to Weeds” will be unveiled. A new project which aims to redefine the lines between traditional and modern Americana music.
Wires to Weeds blends textural rhythms and atmospheric effects with Indie-Americana acoustic instrumentation, providing a unique foundation for Struwin’s signature, heartfelt songwriting.
Those familiar with Struwin’s other projects might recognize contributing musicians Mike Kinney (guitar), Mike Nelson (bass), Matt Sypian (drums), Josh Bolt (mandolin), and Glenn McFarland (keys, sax).
The Livery in Benton Harbor has long been considered these St. Joe natives’ hometown venue, so it’s little surprise that Struwin and his crew have chosen the craft brewery to showcase the new project. The debut comes two weeks after a three-day recording session at La Luna Recording and Sound in Kalamazoo with longtime collaborator
Mikael Naramore co-producing with Struwin, and engineer Maggie Heeren.
A new record will be released autumn 2025.
