What is kirtan?

Do I need to know how to sing?
Not at all! You’re welcome to sing along, hum, clap, sway—or simply listen and enjoy the beauty of sacred sound.
Can I come on my own?
Absolutely. Many people come solo and leave feeling connected and uplifted. It’s a warm, welcoming space for everyone.
Can I bring my children?
Yes, children are welcome! Just keep in mind the peaceful nature of the event. Feel free to bring something quiet for them to do if needed.
What should I bring?
Just yourself. If you’d like, bring a water bottle. Chairs are provided. There’s no need to bring a yoga mat.
Is there a dress code?
No formal dress code—just wear something comfortable that you can sit and relax in.
Is this a religious event?
No. Kirtan is a spiritual practice rooted in ancient yogic tradition, but it's not tied to any religion. People of all beliefs and backgrounds are welcome to experience and enjoy it.
