Volunteer Storm Cleanup at Neilson Spearhead Nature Preserve

Recent storms left their mark on the trails and forest at Neilson Spearhead Nature Preserve (Neilson Spearhead Center). We’re asking for volunteers to help with cleanup and restoration so the preserve can safely welcome visitors again.

Work will include clearing trails from downed branches, removing debris, and addressing minor hazards. Volunteers of all experience levels are welcome.

Please bring:
-Work gloves and sturdy footwear
-Hand tools such as loppers, handsaws, or rakes, if available
-Water and insect repellent

Meet at the main parking area. Cleanup will begin at 5:00 PM and continue for a couple of hours. Stay as long as you are able.
