Docs Ireland: A Want in Her + Q&A

When her mother goes missing somewhere in Ireland, artist Myrid Carten returns from London to find her.

Her search takes her into a feuding family, a contested house; and a history that threatens to take everyone down, including herself. A Want in Her is an immersive, first-person account of the cost of love, and how difficult it can be to escape.

One of the biggest Irish films of the year, A Want in Her is Myrid’s debut feature, but the filmmaker’s maturity and sophistication are evident from the very start.

Director Myrid Carten will take part in a Q&A after the film.
