This is a LARP Adventures campout event, where we continue our campaign storyline, but whether it's your first event or a seasoned veteran you will be able to jump right into the fun!
Introduction
Adventurers were successful in their endeavors through the Floating City and Into the Grand Temple where Cultists of He Who Eats staged a temporary location for their mobile observatory. Letters left by Nilbog Starseerer, the alleged head astronomer of their cult, showed intention to claim a series of mysterious and lost relics, The Euclidean Gems. Their desire, to shift the path of Osterra’s natural orbit to more quickly assess the location of He Who Eats in the plane. The adventurers, looking through the observatory, could see He Who Eats was there amongst the stars, his shadow hanging ever present in the warbled and shifting colors that make up the far away edges of this plane. The goal is clear, denizens of this realm need to stop the Cultists from reaching the Gems, their only initial hint of their locations being the letter stating Nilbog and the Former Pirate Prince Rory would be making their way to the southern tip of Mundus Ferrox in search of the Gems…but then, a new path emerged.
Researchers of Osterra were able to find documents pertaining to information regarding the Euclidean Gems. Not much besides what we already know was discovered. The Saurians seem to be younger than their time on this planet would suggest and their land seems as if it should be older but has rather been shifted and almost stalled to prevent dryer and harsher seasons in areas that it would normally be typical. The texts make it clear that the Saurians not only know more about these relics, but also may have the ability to manipulate them freely. Further, a sketch of the Euclidean Gems was provided in the documents as well. This sketch provided just enough of a connection for the Grand Mage Oona to utilize her carefully crafted, curated, and highly experimental, locate object spell and mobilize The Grove towards making an encampment just off their borders for the other adventurers to station themselves before searching for more evidence of the Gems. Her spell isn’t perfect just yet, but it points heavily in the direction of a large lake at the southern tip of Mundus Ferrox which seems to hold a fog and rain covered island in the center. This is where adventurers intend on moving first in search of the Euclidean Gems in hope of finding them before the Cultists are able to reach them.

LARP Campout at Oakenshield

"What is Oakenshield?" you might ask.
Oakenshield is our LARP dedicated 18+ acres, in central Pennsylvania.
We are on Google Maps! For directions search, 153 Oakenshield Dr, Beech Creek, PA 16822. The Oakenshield driveway is the first right after Whitetail Mountain Road, before you get to the Monument rock.
Oakenshield is a primitive campsite. We are in the process of reclaiming it after over 50 years of being vacant. We have running water for cleaning, but the only potable water is water you bring in with you. This event is bring your own food, with camp cooking. It is also BYOB. There is ample deadfall and plenty of dead standing wood to gather for firewood. Bring a bathing suit and river shoes if you want to go in the creek. If you plan on bathing (recommended) please use a natural soap or body wash, approved for freshwater, you can use something like:

It is nature in a remote area, so be prepared, and be aware of all kinds of wildlife, including bugs, snakes, various rodentia(squirrels, bunnies and mice, and everything in between), deer, snapping turtles, black bears... Remember they live there, we're really just visiting, store food properly, or you'll invite unwanted guests. Bring camping/yard tools to clear a space for your tent this is the first event of the year, expect a season of leaves and spring growth, even if you cleared a spot last year.
