Jay White, owner and publisher of Texas Gardener magazine, is an avid gardener with a two-acre Brenham property cultivating vegetables, herbs, native and improved flowers, shrubs, fruit trees, and hardwoods. He champions local, ecologically responsible flower farmers and cherishes heirloom and pass-along plants shared by fellow gardeners.

Passionate about telling the stories behind plants and Texans’ gardening spirit, Jay combines his B.S. and M.S. in Agriculture with his Texas A&M horticulture background to deliver engaging, science-based lectures. Whether growing quick sprouts or towering trees, his talks inspire success in Texas gardens.
