Poetry Reading and Writing Workshop
Join us at Jude's Cafe in Wellbeing Media Studio for a creative and relaxed afternoon of poetry with Adrian D Brown.
In 2014 Adrian had a stroke and while in hospital he started writing his first novella titled Sorry Was Never Enough which was published in 2018...he is currently on his third. But when he left hospital he also suffered from depression that led to a drinking problem which lasted until 30 months ago since then he's been sober. It was while drinking that Adrian started writing a lot of poetry performing at various Open Mic nights.
In October 2023 he co-founded Sleipnir Creations CIC to work on community education projects, establishing a youth writing group at Corby library last October . He has spoken in schools, community groups including the Rotary Club, and HMP Gartree.
Adrian says "My poetry is inspired by my life the lives of people I know or what I see happening in the world around me."
You don't need to be a wordsmith - just bring a notebook - and your story!
