Author Autumn Brown- Co-founder of Southeast Texas Civilian Task Force.
Autumn is a lifelong resident of Southeast Texas. In 2017, during Hurricane Harvey, Autumn and her late husband, Chris, founded the Southeast Texas Civilian Task Force. The task force serves six counties in Southeast Texas and has evolved beyond a disaster relief organization into a strictly volunteer-led entity.
Autumn also managed multiple disasters in her role with the County Emergency Management and is a board member of Girls Haven and Earnhardt School.
She has served as Campaign Manager/Coordinator for several political campaigns, including those for a County Judge and State Representative. She is currently running in Republican ticket for the position of Jefferson County District clerk.
Autumn has received numerous accolades, including the American Hero Award, Humanitarian of the Year for 2021-2022, the Dobbins Award presented by the US Coast Guard, and the MLK Achievement Award, among others.
Autumn is a mother to two biological children and a stepson, all of whom she loves dearly.
She is committed to setting an example and demonstrating that kindness can spread as easily as hate.
