Welcome to The Flair Story Book Launch Celebration!

Flair Dance and Modeling Studio, founded by Willia Bland in Baltimore during the 1960s, began as an etiquette school for young Black women. Over time, it grew to include modeling classes, fashion show productions, and eventually dance programming. For more than 50 years, Flair was a community landmark, giving generations of students confidence, artistic skills, and opportunities to shine. Its legacy reflects both creativity and empowerment, making a lasting impact on Baltimore’s cultural life.

Join us at Viva Books for an exciting event including a live dj, mingling, and book signings by the author and granddaugther of Willia Bland, Mari Andrea Travis.
