Info: As creatives, we have a complicated relationship with money. Pricing our creations can feel like pricing ourselves. Positioned to ask for funding can evoke feelings of shame, fear, or impostor syndrome. And yet, our ability to sustain creative work depends on how we handle these emotions. In this talk, let’s explore the hidden stories we carry about money, where they come from, and how they shape our creative decisions. By naming those feelings, maybe we can start building healthier practices that honor both our craft and our financial needs.
Info: What if the future of design belonged to everyone, across ages, stages, and experiences?
Too often, the conversation about the “next generation” implies that some people are left behind. However, a truly inclusive design future values emerging voices, mid-career practitioners, and those who continue to create later in life. This workshop explores what it means to imagine and build a design field where no one is excluded based on age or career stage.
Drawing from radical imagination and transformative solidarity principles, participants will reflect on who is often left out and what an inclusive design future requires. A laptop or tablet is recommended for this workshop. If neither are available, you can download the Miro app to your phone or share with a fellow attendee.
