Cylburn Arboretum
4915 Greenspring Avenue, Baltimore, United States
Join the Ruxton-Riderwood-Lake Roland Area Improvement Association and Naturalist Molly Hoopes for a tour of Cylburn Arboretum. The Arboretum contains 200 acres of trees, gardens, trails, peace and serenity in a bustling urban setting.
Once the home of a wealthy Baltimore Quaker, Cylburn Arboretum became the property of Baltimore City in 1942. Cylburn has a wide variety of beautifully-planted flower gardens displaying shrubs, perennials, and annuals. Since 1958, Cylburn has served as the horticultural production site for the Baltimore City Horticultural Division. The Cylburn greenhouses grow the plant material that adorns City Hall, street medians, and the Howard Peters Rawlings Conservatory.
RSVP to take the tour. Meet at the Vollmer Visitor Center by 9 a.m. Pay $5 in cash at the door, no credit cards will be accepted.
