Dr. Franck Dumetz of the University of Maryland School of Medicine will join us to review the theory of Nanopore sequencing, discuss its advantages over other sequencing methods, explore its potential applications, and then lead us in some hands-on work to see how these palm-size sequencers are enabling accessible and low-cost sequencing in a wider range of applications and contexts.
