The fabulous Maryann Price, whose voice helped to define the upswing of a new kind of music with Dan Hicks & His Hot Licks during San Francisco's heyday in the 1970s, fueled the delightful energy of bands from The Kinks to Asleep at the Wheel, and lit up the jazz scene with Ethyl 'n' Methyl right here in Austin.

The Fosters, Christy Palumbo and Dan, have been part of the musical landscape since the days of the Split Rail, Armadillo World Headquarters, Threadgill's, and other sanctuaries where the rich diversity of sounds continue to make The Violet Crown of the Hills ring out. Shade-tree historians, they come up with forgotten gems purloined from vintage 78-rpm records or songs dreamed up brand new wherever genuine, unfiltered picking & singing is allowed! .

With a selection of choice tunes old & new, close harmonies, rare Texas swing, hillbilly fiddle tunes, rags, blues, songs from a lost Austin, and assorted surprises from back east to way out west, together Two Fosters One Price will serve up full sets of venerable rhythm & fun from a past that you might not have known you had!
