ABOUT THE COLLABORATOR
Mavyn Vu is (b. 1999, Hanoi) a new media artist currently based in Austin, Texas. Her work seeks to explore the complex dynamics within intergenerational diasporic communities from their relationships with the homeland to the roles individuals take within their family units. Using her background in museum education and community programming, she seeks to create work that not only incorporates emergent media practices, but also invites audiences to become empowered co-collaborators in shaping the narrative of such bodies of work - through archives building, oral and visual storytelling.
This project is supported in part by the City of Austin Office of Arts, Culture, Music & Entertainment.
