I have started teaching my 6 and 8 year old how to use apps like Procreate and Tinkercad. I’m here to encourage you to do the same, and teach you both how!
What is Tinkercad?? Think Minecraft, but with way more capabilities and way less punching trees for wood. Tinkercad is a fun and beginner-friendly design app. It’s perfect for anyone who loves to build, imagine, and bring things to life!
What is TinkerKid?
TinkerKid is a beginner friendly hands-on workshop where you learn the basics of creating your very own 3d printing design files using Tinkercad.
Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays from 10-12 in July and August you can bring a tablet or a laptop to Creating in Maine and learn the basics of creating a file that you can also print!
Each TinkerKid session is focused on helping young makers explore digital design in a playful, confidence-boosting way — no experience needed!
TinkerKid is for:
• Kids ages 6+
• Total beginners
• Anyone with a curious mind and a tablet!
Important things to note-
•Spots for each session are limited to 3 students + those 3 students parents.
•Tickets are $15 and are available at a first come first serve basis on our website.

•You only need to purchase 1 ticket per student, chaperones do not need a ticket. •You must bring your own tablet/laptop to join group sessions. I do have one available for private lessons if needed. •This workshop does not include the production of a physical product, just the education needed to build a file.
•3d printing services are also available at an additional cost.
•We are neurodivergent friendly and are happy to accommodate. We are also able to make the classes available downstairs for those with mobility restrictions. Please reach out with any requests that would help you better learn in a comfortable environment.
•We are a safe space for all. EVERYONE is welcome as long as they can be kind, encouraging, and respectful of other students.
