Το σεμινάριο Theatre of Research με τον Φάνη Κατέχο, αποτελεί μέρος του International Research Theatre Laboratory - OSMOSIS, το οποίο θα διεξαχθεί στο πλαίσιο του 13th HRTFest.
Πρόκειται για ένα δεκαήμερο, διεθνές εργαστήριο με εισηγητές του θεάτρου και των παραστατικών τεχνών από όλο τον κόσμο (Ελλάδα, Ιταλία, Γερμανία, Πολωνία, Δανία, Η.Π.Α.), το οποίο θα καταλήξει στη δημιουργία της ομώνυμης παράστασης, Osmosis - The Performance: ένα ανοιχτό παν-καλλιτεχνικό jam με τη σκηνοθετική υπογραφή της Fabrica Athens, το οποίο θα σφραγίσει τη τελετή λήξης του Φεστιβάλ.

Περιγραφή Εργαστηρίου:
Στον ετήσιο κύκλο μαθημάτων «Θέατρο της Έρευνας» με εισηγητή τον Φάνη Κατέχο (Fabrica Athens) οι συμμετέχοντες θα εκπαιδευτούν ως «Διαστατοί Ηθοποιοί / Καλλιτέχνες» (Dimensional Performers), δηλαδή performer, οι οποίοι:
● Αυτό-διαχειρίζονται την τέχνη τους
Μαθαίνουν πως να ερευνούν, να είναι ανεξάρτητοι δημιουργοί και εκπαιδευτές (trainer) παραστατικών τεχνών, αλλά και πως να είναι αποδοτικοί με την παρουσία τους μέσα σε μια ομάδα και στα χέρια ενός άλλου δημιουργού
● Έχουν πολυδιάστατη οπτική των παραστατικών τεχνών και είναι εφοδιασμένοι με τα κατάλληλα εργαλεία ώστε να ελίσσονται με ποικίλους ερμηνευτικούς τρόπους
Λαμβάνουν μια σφαιρική θεατρική εκπαίδευση και πολλαπλά ερεθίσματα με σκοπό να επιλέξουν την δική τους ειδίκευσή στις παραστατικές τέχνες. Γνωρίζουν πρακτικά και θεωρητικά το σωματικό θέατρο (physical theater), το θέατρο της επινόησης (devised theater), το θέατρο δρόμου (street theatre), τη παράσταση σε δημόσιο χώρο (site specific performance) και το θέατρο ως κοινωνικό και ανθρωπολογικό εργαλείο (social theater).
Κατά την διάρκεια των 3 τριμήνων του ετήσιου θεατρικού εργαστηρίου, οι ασκούμενοι θα εκπαιδευτούν πάνω σε παγκοσμίως γνωστές μεθόδους και τεχνικές σωματικού θεάτρου (physical theater), αλλά και τεχνικές που έχουν αναπτυχθεί μέσα από το ίδιο το μονοπάτι του Θεάτρου της Έρευνας.
Πιο συγκεκριμένα, οι συμμετέχοντες θα γνωρίσουν τεχνικές σωματικού Θεάτρου του Jerzy Grotowski και του Odin Teatret, τα ακροβατικά εδάφους, τη πρακτική της yoga και του qigong, τεχνικές μιμικής και θεατρικού clown, καθώς και τεχνικές υποκριτικής της Susan Batson.

Οκτώβριος ǀ Νοέμβριος ǀ Δεκέμβριος
«Κατάδυση»
Στο 1ο τρίμηνο οι συμμετέχοντες:
● Επαναπροσδιορίζουν την παρουσία τους στο εδώ και τώρα.
● Ανακαλύπτουν τα εργαλεία που διαθέτουν ως performer / ερμηνευτές (σώμα, νους και συναίσθημα).
● Επεκτείνουν τα όρια της σωματικής και νοητικής τους αντοχής και μαθαίνουν να διαχειρίζονται την ενέργεια σε ποικίλες σωματικές πράξεις.
● Εντοπίζουν τις ορατές και αόρατες μάσκες τους και εργάζονται στο να φέρουν τον εαυτό τους στο «σημείο μηδέν» ή «λευκό πανί», όπου όλα καταγράφονται από την αρχή.
● Εργάζονται εντατικά με το κέντρο του σώματος για την διεύρυνση της συνειδητότητας στην κίνηση και την απελευθέρωση της αναπνοής.

«Αλαλαγμός»
Κατά το 2ο τρίμηνο,
● Γίνεται εισήγηση των συμμετεχόντων στη σχέση του σώματος με τον ήχο που αυτό παράγει (σωματοποιημένος ήχος).
● Οι ασκούμενοι ανακαλύπτουν τον φυσικό – πρωτόγονό τους ήχο και εργάζονται στην ενδυνάμωση του αναπνευστικού συστήματος και των σωματικών τους ηχείων.
● Δημιουργούνται αδιάσπαστοι δεσμοί του ατόμου με το σύνολο και δημιουργούν εκ νέου σχέσεις με τον περιβάλλοντα χώρο και τα αντικείμενα / σώματα που περιλαμβάνει.
Μάρτιος ǀ Απρίλιος ǀ Μάιος
«Παραγωγή»
Στο τελευταίο τρίμηνο του εργαστηρίου οι ασκούμενοι:
● Οργανώνουν το πρακτικό και θεωρητικό υλικό που έχουν συλλέξει και έχει παραχθεί από τους ίδιους.
● Δημιουργούν το προσωπικό τους training, το οποίο καλούνται να μοιραστούν με την ομάδα.
● Παρουσιάζουν το παραστατικό υλικό που έχουν δημιουργήσει μέσα σε μια σκηνοθετημένη σύνθεση.
Επιπλέον, οι συμμετέχοντες του προγράμματος θα έχουν την δυνατότητα να παρακολουθήσουν με προτεραιότητα μια σειρά σεμιναρίων, προγραμμάτων και εκπαιδεύσεων που θα πραγματοποιήσει η ομάδα της Fabrica Athens τη περίοδο 2025-2026. Η παρακολούθηση αυτών θα λειτουργήσει θετικά στην πιο άμεση και ολοκληρωμένη εκπαίδευση των συμμετεχόντων. Αναλυτικότερα, μέσα στη χρονιά θα υλοποιηθούν:
● Ετήσιο εργαστήριο Θέατρο της Έρευνας
● Εκπαίδευση Ξυλοπόδαρων, Ακροβατικών (εδάφους και εναέριων), Χειρισμού αντικειμένων (object manipulation)
● Προγράμματα Θεατρικής Εκπαίδευσης Νέων
● Επίσκεψη σε προγράμματα θεατρικής εκπαίδευσης σε σωφρονιστικά ιδρύματα
● Σεμινάρια (Workshops) και παραστάσεις ποικίλης ύλης
Σε ποιους απευθύνεται:
Η εκπαίδευση απευθύνεται σε επαγγελματίες καλλιτέχνες (performer, ηθοποιούς, χορευτές, κ.α.), σπουδαστές παραστατικών και άλλων τεχνών, αλλά και σε ανθρώπους με μικρότερη εμπειρία στις (παραστατικές) τέχνες, που έχουν την διάθεση και τη διαθεσιμότητα να εργαστούν σε μια δυναμική ομάδα με άξονα το θέατρο.
Βεβαίωση Παρακολούθησης:
Με το τέλος του εργαστηριακού κύκλου οι συμμετέχοντες λαμβάνουν επίσημη Βεβαίωση Παρακολούθησης από τον Θεατρικό Οργανισμό της Fabrica Athens.
Τέλος, παρότι το ετήσιο εργαστήριο «Θέατρο της Έρευνας» είναι αυτοτελές, οι ενδιαφερόμενοι ενθαρρύνονται να συνεχίσουν την φοίτησή τους στο «Πρόγραμμα Θεατρικής Έρευνας και Εκπαίδευσης» της Fabrica Athens, το οποίο διαρκεί ένα ή δύο χρόνια επιπλέον. Σε αυτό οι εκπαιδευόμενοι συνεχίζουν τον 2ο χρόνο εμβαθύνοντας στον «Αλαλαγμό – Μέρος Β’». Ταυτόχρονα, δημιουργούν μια ομαδική παράσταση (ensemble performance) και στηριζόμενοι στην αλληλοδιδακτική μέθοδο, εκπαιδεύονται στο να διδάσκουν νεότερους εκπαιδευόμενους. Στο 3ο έτος γίνεται ξεχωριστή εργασία με τον κάθε ασκούμενο για τη δημιουργία μιας solo performance.

The seminar Theatre of Research with Fanis Katechos, is part of the International Research Theater Laboratory - OSMOSIS, which will be held as part of the 13th HRTFest.
It is a ten-day, international laboratory with trainers of theater and performing arts from all over the world (Greece, Italy, Germany, Poland, Denmark, USA), which will end in the creation of the show Osmosis - The Performance: an open artistic jam with the directon of Fabrica Athens, which will seal the closing ceremony of the Festival.

Workshop Discription:
In the annual course "Theatre of Research" with lecturer Fanis Katechos (Fabrica Athens), participants will be trained as "Dimensional Performers", i.e. performers, who:
● Self-manage their art
They learn how to research, to be independent creators and trainers of performing arts, but also how to be efficient with their presence within a group and in the hands of another creator
● They have a multidimensional perspective of the performing arts and are equipped with the appropriate tools to maneuver in various interpretive ways
They receive a comprehensive theatrical education and multiple stimuli in order to choose their own specialization in the performing arts. They gain practical and theoretical knowledge of physical theater, devised theater, street theater, site specific performance, and theater as a social and anthropological tool.
During the 3 trimesters of the annual theater workshop, trainees will be trained in world-renowned physical theater methods and techniques, as well as techniques that have been developed through the Research Theater path itself.
More specifically, participants will learn about physical theater techniques of Jerzy Grotowski and Odin Teatret, ground acrobatics, the practice of yoga and qigong, mime and theatrical clown techniques, as well as Susan Batson's acting techniques.

"Diving"
In the 1st quarter, participants:
● Redefine their presence in the here and now.
● Discover the tools they have as performers (body, mind and emotion).
● Expand the limits of their physical and mental endurance and learn to manage energy in various physical acts.
● Identify their visible and invisible masks and work on bringing themselves to "point zero" or "white cloth", where everything is recorded from the beginning.
● Work intensively with the center of the body to expand consciousness in movement and release breathing.
January ǀ February
“Alalagmos”
During the 2nd quarter,
● Participants are introduced to the relationship between the body and the sound it produces (embodied sound).
● The trainees discover their natural – primitive sound and work on strengthening the respiratory system and their physical speakers.
● Inseparable bonds are created between the individual and the whole and they re-create relationships with the surrounding space and the objects/bodies it includes.
March ǀ April ǀ May
“Production”
In the last quarter of the workshop, the trainees:
● Organize the practical and theoretical material they have collected and produced by themselves.
● Create their personal training, which they are invited to share with the group.
● Present the performance material they have created within a staged composition.
In addition, program participants will have the opportunity to attend with priority a series of seminars, programs and training that the Fabrica Athens team will hold in the period 2025-2026. Attending these will have a positive effect on the more direct and comprehensive training of the participants. In more detail, during the year the following will be implemented:
● Annual Research Theater Workshop
● Training in Stilts, Acrobatics (ground and aerial), Object Manipulation
● Youth Theater Education Programs
● Visit to theater education programs in correctional institutions
● Workshops and performances of various subjects
Who is it addressed to:
The training is aimed at professional artists (performers, actors, dancers, etc.), students of performing and other arts, but also at people with less experience in (performing) arts, who have the willingness and availability to work in a dynamic group centered on theater.
Certificate of Attendance:
At the end of the workshop cycle, participants receive an official Certificate of Attendance from the Fabrica Athens Theater Organization.
Finally, although the annual “Theatre of Research” workshop is self-contained, interested parties are encouraged to continue their studies in the “Theatre Research and Education Program” of Fabrica Athens, which lasts one or two additional years. In this, the trainees continue the 2nd year by delving deeper into “Alalagmos – Part B”. At the same time, they create an ensemble performance and, relying on the peer teaching method, are trained to teach younger trainees. In the 3rd year, separate work is carried out with each trainee to create a solo performance.
