Πότε συναντιούνται μύθος και design; Ποιος είναι ο ρόλος του και πως πληροφορεί τα αντικείμενα με τα οποία συγκατοικούμε; Ποια τέρατα κουβαλάμε στην καθημερινότητά μας και πώς γίνονται μορφές αφήγησης, μνήμης και δημιουργίας;
Η έκθεση «The Monsters I Live With», σε επιμέλεια της Βασιλικής-Μαρίας Πλαβού, καλεί έξι σχεδιαστές σε έναν κοινό τόπο πειραματισμού: από τον μύθο στη μορφή, από την παράδοση στη σύγχρονη ερμηνεία. Το design εδώ δεν υπηρετεί μόνο τη λειτουργικότητα — γίνεται εργαλείο πολιτισμικού αναστοχασμού και μέθοδος επανοικειοποίησης ενός οικουμενικού αφηγήματος.
Με την επιστράτευση των σύγχρονων ψηφιακών εργαλείων αλλά και την χειρωνακτική δεξιότητα, οι καλλιτέχνες Astronauts (Δανάη Δασύρα & Joe Bradford), Πάνος Προφήτης σε συνεργασία με τους Ludd, Δημήτρης Ταμπάκης, Νίκη Δανάη Χανιά και Δέσποινα Χαριτωνίδη δημιουργούν μια αφήγηση για το σήμερα, επανενεργοποιώντας υλικό, παραδοσιακές τεχνικές και συμβολισμούς.
Το design συστήνεται ως μία γλώσσα επικοινωνίας με ισχυρό συναισθηματικό τόνο, γίνεται πράξη αντίστασης και επανασύνδεσης με τη μνήμη, το σώμα και το φαντασιακό συλλογικό. Σας προσκαλεί.
Η έκθεση The Monsters I Live With είναι μια πρωτοβουλία του TRAIL [practice] και φιλοξενείται από το εστιατόριο PROVELEGGIOΣ.

Τhe Monsters I Live With – Design Exhibition at the first floor of PROVELEGGIOΣ

Where do myth and design meet? What is their role and how do they inform the objects we live with? What monsters do we carry in our daily lives and how do they become forms of storytelling, memory, and creation?
The exhibition "The Monsters I Live With," curated by Vassiliki-Maria Plavou, invites six designers to a common place of experimentation: from myth to form, from tradition to contemporary interpretation. The design here doesn't just serve functionality—it becomes a tool for cultural reflection and a method for reclaiming a universal narrative.
Using modern digital tools and manual skills, the artists Astronauts (Danae Dasyra & Joe Bradford), Panos Profitis in collaboration with Ludd, Dimitris Tampakis, Niki Danai Chania, and Despina Charitonidou create a narrative for today, reactivating material, traditional techniques, and symbols.
Design is introduced as a communication language with a strong emotional tone, it becomes an act of resistance and reconnection with memory, body and the imaginary collective. It invites you.
